As well as orchestras and concert venues are affected by the COVID19 lockdown, conservatoires are in a similiar situation, too. Paul Hogle, President and CEO, Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) and former executive VP of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, shows in an ONE-to-ONE interview on the Muical America platform how he and his staff are navigating the CIM thru the crisis.
“The quality of an organization’s leadership—this is where it’s an all-in thing … there’s a small group of people who think they will shut down, lock the employees away from their pay and everything will be fine … I feel sad for those organizations”, Hogle says.
